English SSR

Today in English I was reading an article on stuff about the bases in Antarctica, It was very interesting because it talked about the huge amounts of radiation that the bases had and men who got cancer that served there.
This is really interesting because you never hear about anything happening in Antarctica because it is such an isolated place.

The nuclear power station at McMurdo was nicknamed "nukey poo".

  1. Thanks Drew, I really enjoyed reading the information you have shared. Is this a continent you would like to visit one day? It is such a fascinating place. Is it true that one of the biggest dangers is fire as there is no water to put a fire out?

    1. A fire is a huge danger in Antarctica but surprisingly sun burn is the most dangerous there followed second by fauna ( leopard seal )
